Research
Antrop is a knowledge company. All our employees have high competence in user-centred development and we are always striving to improve our competence through projects, training and research. To remain in the forefront in the usability field Antrop is active in different research projects. On this page we will present selected research articles and white papers.
On the 14th of February 2005, Antrop co-worker Erik Markensten presented his licentiate thesis. The thesis describes strategies and methods for procruing usable systems, and for employing user-centred activities in an early stage in systems development projects. The thesis was written as part of a research project on procurment of IT-systems in which Antrop is participating.
The project, which is run by Henrik Artman at the Swedish Royal Institute of Technology, aims at creating processes for buyers of IT-systems that help them to procure usable systems. Today the suppliers of IT-systems sets the requirements themselves, which far too often lead to a focus on technology instead of on users and business. Read more about the project.
