But pretty soon we felt that we wanted to create a completely new web presence for over 30 country sites around the world, and not just shift the existing content to a new CMS, says Åsa Davidsson, Marketing Communications Manager at IFS
IFS supplies ERP (Enterprise resource planning) systems to customers around the world and therefore it was important to create a functional and communicative web site. They also wanted the site to feel modern and reflect the IFS spirit. This solution would require a lot from the publishing tool, and involve translation, coordination of content and more.
- Our mission was to develop a conceptual interaction design, information architecture, content strategy and graphic design, and deliver the design for the site, says Jenny Johansson, project manager at Antrop.

We started off with a user research phase, where we interviewed 20 selected representatives for the prioritised target groups. From this material we detailed a Persona gallery, that were to guide all conceptual work.
The insights that we gained from the user research, are of great strategic use to us in planning and prioritising future efforts cross channels. We definitely see the benefits of knowing our customers well, says Åsa Davidsson.
Prior to launch, we conducted user tests to evaluate the new web site. The results were overall positive and IFS could launch and celebrate a new and more customer oriented site across the world.
IFS 'new website was launched on 1 September 2010. Visit it at www.ifsworld.com.
